PROFILE:
Customer Service Professionals (CSPs) are Tampa Electric's frontline
source of communication with customers. CSPs effectively
answer and solve various residential customer inquiries regarding
service transactions and electric outages, in a friendly and
professional manner.
CSPs may be asked to work past designated work hours during storms and
other high call volume situations.
*The training rate for this position is $12.83 per hour.
This position requires the flexibility to work an early start shift or
late ending shift. Pay increases may occur every 4 to 6 months
with successful completion of additional training over a 2 to 3 year
period.
For consideration, you must be able to meet the following requirements:
Ability to attend a 4 week paid training class. Performance and
attendance standards must be met during training. These standards will
be defined during class orientation. Tests will be administered
throughout training.
Upon completion of training/nesting, the rate of pay for Bi-Lingual CSPs
is $13.83 an hour.
The locations of the open CSP positions can be at either/or
both Ybor City or Plant City locations. The exact location
for each selected hire will not be determined until sometime during the
training/nesting. Therefore, there is no guarantee that your
location request can be accommodated.
WORK CONDITIONS
This position requires sitting for extended periods of time; Occasional
overtime hours; May require travel to various Tampa Electric locations.
The Call Center requires non-traditional working hours, this position
may require employees to take on fixed early morning, evening, or late
night shift/schedules. Weekend or holiday work may also be required.
These shifts/schedules are fixed and may be subject to change based on
business needs.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
A minimum of two years Customer Service experience, preferably in
resolving customers' critical situations. A minimum of one year of
basic/working knowledge of Microsoft Applications and Internet required.
Must have a strong customer service aptitude, the ability to stay calm,
level-headed and resilient, and have the ability to convey empathy as
well as professionalism.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
Two years experience in a utility call center is a plus. In-bound Call
Center experience is preferred/plus. Knowledge of standard call center
performance metrics preferred. Prefer an Associates degree in a
relevant field, such as Business.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or GED.
