and are looking for a High-Performing Security Engineer to join our
organization! The ONSITE3 Information Technology Department supports the
daily management of the company network infrastructure and security
protocol. The right individual will possess the ability to blend
technical expertise with customer service savvy to meet the objectives
of and in carrying out the duties documented in our 'Information
Security Assuredness Program'.
Job Duties
- Heavily assist with the planning, development, implementation, and
monitoring of administrative, physical, and technical safeguards and
controls in alignment with, and in support of, their short and long-term
business objectives.
- Monitor and audit the security posture of their voice and data network.
- Monitoring, auditing, and testing the internal and external networks
for vulnerabilities and security exposures. Evaluate and recommend
changes to current and future network requirements to meet the
organizations security needs.
- Manage the security infrastructure including responding to and
investigating network security issues.
- Monitor and audit the network for security vulnerabilities and
exposures including servers and network devices in the DMZ as well as on
the internal network
- Perform and evaluate vulnerability scans of the network periodically
and as necessary
- Evaluate, recommend and implement changes to the security structure
with minimal interruption to the users
- Provide customer service and training to end users.
- 24/7 technical support rotation.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years experience in Information Technology
- Solid knowledge of security regulations such as HIPAA, PCI, SOX;
security standards including ISO 17799, NIST, and COBIT; as well as risk
management frameworks such as COSO.
- Experience supporting a Cisco-based enterprise network
- Strong background in maintaining operational computer and network
security, firewall administration, virus protection, intrusion detection
and prevention, automated security patching, and vulnerability scanning
systems.
- General computer network and internet technology knowledge.
- Experience in administering information security programs including
risk assessments, forensic research, designing security architectures,
developing policies, gathering metrics, and reporting status.
- Effective technical, communication, documentation, and presentation
skills. Requires strong interpersonal and communication skills to work
effectively with IT&S, Law, Compliance, and clients.
- Knowledge of security analysis, diagnostic, or proscriptive tools
desired.
- Knowledge of applicable security laws desired.
- Proficiency with MS Office, Outlook, and project management tools.
- Ability to conduct forensic research.
- Must have at least **ONE** of the following certifications: CISSP
(Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CCSP (Cisco
Certified Security Professional, MCSA: Security / MCSE: Security
(Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator / Engineer), CISA (Certified
Information Systems Auditor), CISM (Certified Information Systems
Manager). MCSA and CCSP are preferred certifications.
